More Information: Iran Polyacryl Company is one of the largest factories producing synthetic polyester fibers and the only producer of acrylic fibers in Iran. This company was established in 1353 and was put into operation in 1357. The nominal capacity of Iran Polyacryl Company is 129,500 tons per year, which provides about 45% of the domestic demand for synthetic fibers. The fibers produced by Polyacryl Company are produced, evaluated and supplied in various industrial units.
Productions of the factories of Polyacryl Company of Iran:
- Polyester factory: Like other synthetic fibers, polyester fibers are produced by industrial methods and in terms of properties, they are considered a suitable alternative to natural fibers such as cotton. To produce this product, a combination of dimethyl terephthalate and monoethylene glycol or terephthalic acid (a substitute for the raw material dimethyl terephthalate) is used in the vicinity of suitable catalysts. The polymer resulting from the combination of these two primary materials is passed through the filament-forming plates by the pump and under the influence of cold air it is transformed into a fiber and becomes a bunch of fibers in the next stages with stretching and heat treatment while molecular arrangement and stabilization Thermal fibers are cut into long (filament) or short (staple) fibers in desired sizes and bundled (bales).
- Acrylic Factory 1: Acrylic fibers are produced from a synthetic polymer called acrylonitrile, which is a petrochemical substance. Since acrylic fibers are one of the least breathable fibers, they are often used in products that require heat-retaining fibers. Such as sports clothes, machine carpets, winter clothes, blankets, currently, Polyacrylic Iran Company is the only producer of acrylic fibers in the country, and in total, it can produce part of the market's needs with an annual production capacity of about 60,000 tons.
- Acrylic Factory 2: This factory produces acrylic fibers by using the Italian SNIA technology, using the solution polymerization method in dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent and Terrisi technology.
