High-purity aluminum oxide (Al2O3) is the main raw material for the production of aluminum, and Alumina Iran is the only producer of alumina powder in Iran. The company is based in Jajarm complex. The geological exploration studies performed in Jajarm bauxite mines, located 10 kilometers to the northeast of Jajarm, in North Khorasan Province, indicate that the quantity and quality of Jajarm bauxite is sufficient to justify the construction of an alumina treatment plant.
