More Information: In Iran, 5.5 million tons of tomatoes are produced annually which about 2.5 million tons of tomatoes are processed. The production of tomato paste in the country amounted to 772 thousand tons. Iran also has exported from 30 to 115 thousand tons of tomato paste in different years and has 7th world rankings in this field. Most of the Iranian paste products are exported to Central Asia, Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan and etc.
The ChinChin has established in November 1974 as a special joint stock company in Mashhad. In 1977, the company started its work by producing tomato paste as well as tomato juice and ketchup which through this, ChinChin has achieved the title of the top tomato paste In 1992.
