More Information: Tabriz Oil Refining Company has been established in a geographical area of ​​200 hectares at an altitude of 1362 meters above sea level in the southwest of Tabriz and due to its location in a special area less than 300 kilometers in the vicinity of four countries of Azerbaijan with the Autonomous Republic. It is located in Nakhchivan, Turkey, Iraq and Armenia.
Tabriz Oil Refining Company was designed in 1974 and after the completion of the construction process in February 1977, it was launched with a nominal capacity of 80,000 barrels per day. Increasing the production capacity of 110,000 barrels in 1992 with the efforts of local experts and specialists is a golden leaf. Tabriz Oil Refining Company currently has a share of about 7% of the crude oil refining capacity of the whole country and is responsible for part of the liquid fuel required in the northwest of the country (East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan and Kurdistan provinces).
The required crude oil is supplied from the Ahvaz-Asmari oil fields, North Dezful, through a Ray facility through a 16-inch pipeline. In 2003, with the aim of refining the crude oil of the Caspian Basin countries and eliminating the bottlenecks of the capacity building plan, a project called (CROS Caspian Sea Republic Oil Swap) was implemented and during which the company gained the ability to process various and heavy crude oil.
According to Article 44 of the Constitution, since 1389, the transfer of shares of Tabriz Oil Refining Company through the stock exchange gradually began and the nature of the company changed from a private joint stock company to a public joint stock company.
